Let us take your breath away!  Come and catch the excitement of revving engines at the Fort Assiniboine Antique Car Show or the Whitecourt Wheels event in July which will be followed by a Drive-in Movie.  Catch the thunder up and down the Athabasca River as the Jet Boats race in the Annual River Boat Races in August.  Or try the two-wheeled race version as the CMRC Provincial Races are held at the White Ridge MX Park.  Look up for an adrenalin fix at this year's Hometown Heroes Airshow, featuring F18's - We will be host to the only performance of the Snowbirds in Alberta this year.

Wanting to catch your breath?  Take a long walk on one of our many trails in the area and soak in the sun and birdsong.  Take a short hike into one of the prettiest spots in Alberta and have a picnic at Hard Luck Canyon or the Geographical Centre of Alberta.  Or check out the World's Largest Wagon Wheel and Pick Axe at Fort Assiniboine.

Travelling with the kids?  Make sure you stop and check out Rotary Park in Whitecourt.  Fish for rainbow trout off the deck of the Pavillion at the stocked fish pond.  Better yet, bring the swim suits and try the River Slides or the brand new Whitecourt Splash Park!

Even on a rainy day, there is always something to do - try your luck or listen to live entertainment at the Eagle River Casino; take in a movie at the Vista Movie Theatre; bring the kids bowling at Millside Place Bowling Alley, spend some time in the lazy river, hot tub, waterslide or pool at the Alliance Pipeline Aquatic Centre, or check out some of the cool gift shops in downtown Whitecourt.
